Felt Camp

The Felt Camp (フェルト陣営, Feruto Jin'ei) is a Royal Selection team that is led by Felt.

Information

Felt stated and affirmed her hatred for the nobility, the knights, the kingdom, and all classes. Possibly influenced by her life in the slums, added to the lack of actions of the politicians who could have helped her and the people in need, Felt swore that she would turn everything into ashes to, according to her, bring fresh air to the country.

She has put together a camp made up of Reinhard, two servants of House Astrea, as well as people of the lower class like herself and Rom, Ton, Chin, and Kan, giving them the possibility to reverse the political situation of the kingdom where the lower social class can govern over the current.

It should be noted that due to her striking resemblance to the Lugunican Royal Family and her age roughly matching the number of years since the child of Ford Lugunica was kidnapped, she is heavily suspected to be that child, thus making her a potential Royal and leaving various thoughts and insights into her identity amongst the nobility and knights. However, any effect this has on her standings is as of yet unseen.

History

Following the fight with the Bowel Hunter in the Loot House, Reinhard van Astrea noticed the Insignia shining in Felt's hand and took her into custody for the time being. The next morning, Felt woke up in the auxiliary Astrea Manor at the Royal Capital, where she found Reinhard. He explained to her that she had the necessary qualities to become a monarch. For the next two months, she made consistent escape attempts, but she was always foiled by Grimm Fauzen, Carol Fauzen, and Reinhard. During this period, Felt discovered that Reinhard's mother, Louanna Astrea, has been afflicted by the Sleeping Beauty condition and contained in the Astrea Manor ever since he was an infant.

During the Royal Selection Ceremony, Rom intentionally tried to nudge Felt away from the ceremony because she hated being there, but this backfired when she decided to become a candidate anyways with Reinhard as her knight, leading him to join as well. After the ceremony, they happened across three thugs: Gaston, Rachins, and Camberley, who had found themselves on the receiving end of Russell Fellow's ire. Felt recruited the three of them to join her camp. A couple of days later, after Grimm and Carol verify that Rom did not have any negative intentions, Felt and Reinhard parted ways with the elderly couple and traveled to the main Astrea Manor in Hakuchuri.

At Hakuchuri, Flam Remendis and Grassis Remendis were in waiting for their arrival. Felt began getting acclimated to living at the Astrea Manor and Hakuchuri until suddenly, a baby named Ilya was left at the mansion's gate, along with a message asking the family to take care of her. For a few days, the Felt Camp struggled but managed to take care of the baby girl. An assassin from the Black Silver Coin organization in Flanders, who was ordered to find Ilya, was caught snooping around the area by Felt and captured by Reinhard before promptly admitting his identity to them. The three former thugs also succeeded in finding Ilya's mother, Kalifa, learning that she was the mistress of Doltero Amule, the Black Silver Coin's leader and the father of her child. Together with Reinhard and Rom, Felt travels to Flanders to meet Doltero and resolve the situation. Doltero had no desire to make an attempt on the lives of his lover and child, realizing that the only person who could have done so was his confidant, Safis, who admitted he had attempted to murder them because they were threats to the organization and its boss's security. Safis prepared to commit suicide to atone for his disloyalty, only being forcefully stopped by Doltero. Taking his confidant's words to heart, the Pig King disavowed his family for the sake of his organization, much to Felt's indignation, and was told by his old acquaintance Cromwell that he would one day regret his decision. Following the incident's resolution, Kalifa and Ilya began living in Hakuchuri.

Sometime later, the camp visited Flanders to meet with the heads of the city's Big Three. Happening upon Ezzo Cadner along the way and preventing a conflict between him and Camberley, he introduced himself as a bodyguard for the Flower Prison Garden before they greeted the organization's proprietress, Toto. One night a few days later, a lackey of Mozolite, the right-hand man of The Balance's leader, Manfred Madison, murdered one of Ezzo's students, Mimosa, and set fire to the building they were in, framing Ezzo for arson. Investigating the incident, Reinhard and company obtained information that he was in an abandoned mansion that was provided to him by Helaine Gatness. After arriving there, Ezzo and Reinhard confronted each other. Though Ezzo did succeed in bypassing Reinhard's unique constitution, he was unable to defeat him. Afterward, Ezzo informed them of the truth of the fire at the brothel and requested their help in his pursuit of revenge for Mimosa's death. When they were surrounded at the mansion, he made a mask and wove a Cognitive Disruption spell within it so Reinhard could fend off their attackers, while he, wearing a similar mask, accompanied Flam and Rachins to confront Helaine. In the end, Ezzo successfully took down the arson, the Anastasia Camp captured the arson's superior, Mozolite, as he was escaping Flanders, and Helaine was exposed by Rachins for being a member of the Six Tongues and having facilitated the betrayal of Manfred's right-hand man. The Big Three became indebted to Felt and her camp for their contributions in resolving the incident, agreeing to pledge allegiance to her in the Royal Selection, and Ezzo joined the camp.

Approximately a year after the start of the Royal Selection, Felt was invited by Anastasia Hoshin to visit Priestella so that the two might learn more about each other. Naturally, she brought Reinhard, Rachins, and Gaston with her. Unfortunately, a day after they arrived, the Witch Cult arrived and held the city hostage until their demands were met. Thanks to the actions of Reinhard’s father, Heinkel Astrea, neither Felt nor Reinhard were able to take action, and Rachins was quickly taken out of the fight thanks to the Sin Archbishop of Wrath and the Sin Archbishop of Greed.

With the help of the Emilia Camp’s Otto Suwen, they were fortunately able to make a return and assist in the repelling of the Witch Cult. While Reinhard assisted Natsuki Subaru and Emilia with taking care of Greed, Felt and Gaston found themselves in the crosshairs of the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony. Ultimately, both sides were victorious in their battles, but thanks to the appearance of Gluttony’s sister, he was able to escape. Soon after, Reinhard finished the fight by slaying his undead grandmother.

With the Witch Cult defeated and pushed back, Felt and Reinhard were responsible for transporting Wrath to the Royal Capital’s Prison Tower, a trip that took two months due to Wrath’s attraction for trouble, while Ezzo took part in recovering the remains of a Witch that were beneath the city. After having Wrath sealed away, she and Reinhard were invited to dinner by Russell Fellow. During their conversation, they discussed how the times were facing a massive change, with Felt correlating it to Subaru and Emilia’s influences. In the same conversation, they also discussed the disturbances in the other three countries, which involved Gusteko’s heretic hunts, the actions of Kararagi’s mayors, and the signs of a civil war brewing in Vollachia.

A short time later, a good portion of the camp traveled with Meili Portroute to the conquered Pleiades Watchtower, where they investigated the tower and the Taygeta Library’s Books of the Dead. After a short investigation, as well as having determined that the birds that flew to the tower were spies, the majority of the team returned to the Royal Capital, leaving Ezzo and Flam to continue investigating the tower.

While at the tower, Ezzo and Flam greeted Subaru’s group after they arrived, and subsequently, they were involved Al’s scheme to remove Subaru from the world. After Al defeated them and escaped with Volcanica, whose mind was taken over by Al's Book of the Dead, Reinhard confronted them, and shortly after, thanks to a trap left by Al, Reinhard was forced to face the Witch of Envy. After Al escaped with his accomplices, Felt confronted them with a force of 500 people. However, they failed, and instead, Felt was taken hostage by Al. During her captivity, she helped Otto with learning their enemies' target, and after they escaped the Royal Capital, her presence wore down the entire group. Meanwhile, Rom, Flam, and Grassis decided to assist in the Emilia Camp's plan to defeat their party.

Notable Achievements

• Quelling the unrest plaguing the Big Three underground organizations of Flanders, acquiring their backing for the Royal Selection in the process.
• Repelling the Witch Cult during the Battle for Priestella.
