- Chapter 2
- Chapter 3
- Most of the chapter retains the writing that was in the web novel with added/changed monologue and dialogue.
- Ricardo mentions that the mana repulsion crystals are very scarce instead of not knowing how many there are left.
Re:Zero Light Novel Volume 8
- Chapter 1
- Ricardo did not assist the ambush with Subaru, Wilhelm, Mimi, and Tivey. Because of this, Wilhelm decapitated Petelgeuse by himself instead of Ricardo assisting Wilhelm for the kill.
- Chapter 2
- Ricardo and Julius's dialogue and appearance after killing Petelgeuse for the first time was completely removed. Instead, it uses dialogue and appearance from Subaru's second time killing Petelguese.
- The entire loop where Subaru, Wilhelm, and the entire expeditionary force was killed by the female finger in Arlam Village was omitted.
- Subaru waking up in front of Ricardo from Return by Death and noticing that his save point had been updated was moved to chapter 1 of the following volume.
- Satella's dialogue was moved to the following volume as a prologue.
- Rajan's debut was moved to earlier in the volume than it was in the web novel.
- Chapter 3
- The entire conversation between Emilia and Julius was omitted.
- Subaru and Emilia's plan to go to the Sanctuary to evacuate the remaining villagers was omitted.
- Chapter 4
- Wilhelm was knocked out after defeating the second finger instead of continuing the battle.
- Ricardo, Mimi, and Tivey's appearance, dialogue, and fight scenes during the Witch Cult's ambush were completely removed.
- Chapter 5
- The fight against Petelgeuse was completely changed to have Emilia and Petelgeuse fight each other alone while having Subaru, Julius, and Felix standing back to watch rather than the group assisting her in her fight.
- Emilia and Ricardo's appearance and dialogue during Subaru's death was cut.
- Due to the loop where everyone was killed by Petelgeuse's finger was cut, Subaru's death by Julius's hand is considered as his eleventh death rather than his twelfth.
Re:Zero Light Novel Volume 9
- Prologue
- Satella's dialogue was moved to become this volume's prologue.
- Chapter 1
- Subaru waking up in front of Ricardo from Return by Death and noticing that his save point had been updated was moved to to the start of this chapter.

- Instead of Wilhelm reprimanding Ferris for pushing the blame of the Witch Cult's actions on Emilia, it is Crusch who does so, which shows that fragments of her old personality still exist.
- Ferris mentioning Volcanica, Flugel, Reid, Shaula, and the Pleiades Watchtower was omitted.
- Subaru's conversation with Puck about Gluttony's Authority was omitted.
- Emilia is present during the final scene to console Subaru over Rem.
