Family

Puck

Puck is Emilia's loyal partner and surrogate father. According to their contract, even if Puck's mana is too low, he will do his job in order to protect her until his death. Puck provided Emilia mental support when people shunned her, protected her from thugs and even defeated Melakuera who wanted to kill Emilia in Bonds of Ice. Puck's backstory and his exact relationship is not fully revealed, however, Puck is extremely loyal to her, since he searched for her for 300 years and then waited 100 years until Emilia thawed herself from the ice.

In Memory Snow SS, it is implied that Puck protected the area where his beloved daughter is currently sleeping for 100 years. He is very overprotective of Emilia and loves her the most. Similarly, Emilia loves Puck almost as much as Fortuna. Even the reason Emilia has long hair is because Puck praised it. After Puck broke his contract with Emilia in Arc 4 so that Emilia could complete the trials (since Puck's contract blocked Emilia's memories), Emilia was in despair, although Puck was sure that one day Emilia will renew her contract with him in the future. Emilia also went to Priestella in order to get a suitable crystal for Puck as the current one is not suitable enough to sustain Puck's needs for mana, making him unable to wake up and materialize.

Fortuna

Her paternal aunt and only known living blood relative. She raised her in place of her parents for most of her early life, and as such, Fortuna is the closest thing to a mother figure she has. Fortuna was the one who taught her the importance of keeping one’s promises, something that becomes a massive part of her personality. Upon her death, she took her hairpin so that Fortuna would always be with her, shortly before going on a murderous rampage against the one responsible for her death.

Geuse

Petelgeuse knew Emilia when she was a child, and he often asked about her health. Emilia's attitude toward him was hostile at first, as she viewed him as a rival for Fortuna's affections. However, she viewed him in a better light seeing him break down in tears of joy when he saw her for the first time. She eventually came to like him to the point of pretending to have a stomachache for Fortuna to let her see him. Petelgeuse in turn cared about her deeply, and viewed her like a daughter, as he tried to protect her with his life when Regulus and Pandora attacked her forest. However, after he went mad, he could longer recognize her, as he attempted to use her as a vessel for the Witch of Envy. It seems that Emilia was unaware of his attack on the Mather's territory, and even after his death, she still fondly remembered him when Subaru used his Authority to save her from Regulus Corneas.

Archi Elior

The two had a sibling-like relationship, and they cared for each other like family. Archi was even willing to sacrifice his life to save her, even aiding in her escape after he was attacked by the Black Serpent.

Emilia Camp

Natsuki Subaru

When they first met, Emilia was surprised by his demeanor and that he knew Puck's name, but she was also grateful that he was responsible for saving her life. Likewise, when he said that the only reward he wanted for doing so was her name, she gladly gave it to him. However, when he found himself injured by Elsa and passed out, Emilia healed him enough to return to the manor, though she was still confused by who he was and the reason for his actions. After returning to the manor, the two got along well, and she was deeply happy and relieved that someone acknowledged her existence and didn't disparage her bloodline. When he was overtaxing himself due to the stress of his loops, she offered him a lap pillow to help him relax, allowing him to cry and destress, and even telling Rem that he was exhausted. Yet again, when he went to retrieve the children from Arlam Village, after seeing him injured upon his return, she was worried enough that she slept beside his bed in concern.

Thanks to Subaru, she even got a chance to interact with the villagers somewhat, allowing her to play with the village children. However, when they went to the Royal Capital, their relationship was strained when Subaru not only broke his promise to her to stay put but also appeared at the castle with someone else and made an enemy of everyone with his failed attempt to defend her from their verbal abuse. After Subaru's fight with Julius, Emilia and Subaru had a fight because she didn't want him to involve himself in her troubles and didn't want Subaru to share those bad memories with her while Subaru couldn't see her as someone "not special", and she left him behind in the capital. Even after returning to the manor, she remained upset that she felt she had to do so. However, after Subaru still appeared to save her life, she wanted to know why despite all that she said to him, and he told her about his feelings for her. After nearly blowing himself up to save her, she actively went to find him, and when she did and laid his head on her lap, she claimed to be confused and happy for his feelings.

During the events of Arc 4, the two seemed to return to how they were. However, after Emilia failed the first trial and Subaru requested to do it in her place since he succeeded, she told him no, saying that she couldn't just keep relying on him. Despite this, her mental state was still fragile, and in one loop, it was bad enough that she went mad when he suddenly vanished. After Puck cancelled their contract, she turned to Subaru again and asked him to stay by her side for the night since she didn't know what to do. Though he stayed with her for a while as she slept, when she woke to find him gone from the room, she called him a liar and ran away to hide. When Subaru found her, the two argued, leading to Subaru giving his full opinion of her, including that she was a pain and that a normal person wouldn't stay by her side. However, he did, and to prove that he would stick by her side, he kissed her, which made her happy. Because of this argument, her resolve and mental state strengthened to the point that neither Roswaal nor Echidna could bring it down. Afterward, she officially made Subaru her knight.

For a year, their relationship remained mostly static, as Emilia had to deal with the Royal Selection and sort through and understand her own feelings. That said, they remained on great terms, and Subaru often gave her advice with her own capabilities, offering ideas, names, and a good direction for how she could hone her fighting skills. During the events of Arc 5, when Subaru was concerned and walked away with Beatrice to handle a problem, when Emilia followed, she wanted to help, which Subaru reluctantly allowed. After she got kidnapped by Regulus Corneas to force her to marry him, Emilia, who believed that marriage is special bond between two people, told Regulus that when the time comes, she will decide who she wants to marry. She was, however, still held back by grappling with what it means to love someone more than just platonically and wished to better understand her true feelings. Later down the line, when she thought back to the moment Subaru asked her name, she noticed how truly happy that made her feel. Towards the end of the arc, when Sirius nearly pounced him, Emilia quickly responded by smashing her with a hammer to get her away from him.

During the events of Arc 6, Emilia wanted to stick by Subaru's side, even taking hold of his hand as they left for the tower. She also showed trust for his "gut" when it came to dangerous situations, such as the "light" that shined from the tower. Inside the tower, she also appeared to dislike when Subaru was being forcibly embraced by Shaula, jealously and lightly hitting Subaru over the misunderstanding. When he lost his memories and started to call her by her name rather than the nickname he referred to her as, she was worried and wanted to hear him speak as he used to around her, including his teasing about her way of speaking. Multiple times during the events of Arc 6, Emilia had been shown to have deep rooted trust in him, and when he remembered her despite her name having been devoured, she was indescribably happy, her morale skyrocketing. When she learns that he regained his memories, she jumps and embraces him. When Subaru teases her about the way she speaks, she wants him to repeat his words, trying her best to appear strong in his eyes. During her fight with Volcanica, when she unveiled her Ice Soldiers, which Subaru did not help come up with, the soldiers' appearances were Subaru's, showing her great trust in him and her desire to always fight by his side.

In Arc 7, after he was abducted alongside Rem and Rui Arneb, she was visibly worried for their wellbeing, and her first action was to prepare to smuggle herself into Vollachia to retrieve them. When they did arrive in the country, when she heard that that convoy that was supposed to have Subaru in it returned, she rushed to reach the place where they were meant to arrive, but when she couldn't find Subaru, she was greatly disappointed. Still, when she heard that he would likely be alive and taken to the capital, she quickly made the decision to take part in the battle that would precede it.

In Arc 8, when they reunited, though she was shocked by Subaru’s infantilized state, she didn’t mind it and even called him cute. Furthermore, during a conversation on the coupled dragon carriage, she stated that even if Subaru stayed small, she would wait for him to grow again, surprising him. Later, as she is fighting one of the Sphinx clones, when she recalled Subaru, her fatigue seems to vanish. Similarly, after the end of the Great Disaster, according to Anastasia, she wouldn’t stop bragging about him.

In Arc 9, when Subaru decided to take Al to the watchtower as per his request, Emilia felt very anxious about it, as she was afraid that he would be taken away again, this time perhaps to somewhere like Gusteko. While she couldn’t be with him, she tasked Beatrice with staying by his side and keeping an eye on him. When she learned of Al's betrayal through Felt and that he had captured Subaru, Emilia was consumed with fury that she acknowledges that she hasn't felt towards someone since her encounter with Regulus, and though she wanted to head out immediately to retrieve him, she held back for a time after Otto convinced her to wait, despite the urge to get moving anyway. Because of this, she became worried for Subaru and wanted to see him again, and she realized that she was also feeling an emotion separate from anger that she could not place. After Al appeared in the Royal Capital, once she got the chance, she immediately made her way to confront him, demanding that he release Subaru and Beatrice, or that she would show him no mercy.

Rem

Emilia was friendly with Rem since she met her, but their interactions were minimal as Rem regarded her as one of the people she was supposed to serve, as well as her own secret discrimination of the girl. That said, Rem's feelings toward her changed after Subaru appeared, and she was fine with Subaru marrying her, and she was willing to help Subaru in convincing Emilia to eventually allow Subaru take Rem as a second wife. Unfortunately, after Rem lost her name and memories, Emilia forgot about her. However, quickly realizing that she was Ram's sister and that she was important to Subaru, Emilia wanted to help Subaru find a way to wake her up.

After she, alongside Subaru and Rui, were taken by the Witch to Vollachia, Emilia was worried for all of them. When the two finally reunited in Arc 8, Emilia was shocked to find Rem awake despite not remembering her still, and her first thought was that she needed to tell Subaru. She and Rem managed to get along and worked side by side when retrieving Subaru, and Rem was likewise surprised about how she and the rest of the camp came to retrieve Subaru. On the coupled dragon carriages, however, Rem was confused by her relationship with Subaru, and she displayed envy towards their interactions.

Ram

Like with Rem, Emilia was friendly with Ram since the beginning. However, Ram only saw her as someone she was tasked with serving by her own master, and she didn't feel the same respect for her. After the events of Arc 4, however, when she went to talk with Emilia before she took the second trial, she gained great respect for the girl when she showed her great resolve to overcome the trials, and for the first time, she looked at her as someone worthy to serve, even going so far as to request her to help save Roswaal by winning the Royal Selection. During the events of Arc 6, she put her trust in Emilia to help provide her with mana as they were traveling to the Pleiades Watchtower.

Roswaal L. Mathers

Roswaal is Emilia's benefactor and backer for her bid to acquire the throne. He's considered an odd lord, especially due to his fondness for demi-humans like her to the point where he would hire them. In truth, he was only actually using her to control Subaru and coerce him into using Return by Death to fulfill his ambition of reviving his late master through the wits of his Gospel. To do so, he attempted to pressure Subaru into contracting with Echidna and taking on Emilia's burdens by conquering the Trials in her place, as he had no faith in Emilia's resolve to overcome her past. Although he had intended to make Subaru like him and pushed Emilia to only rely on her then-knight-to-be, with the encouragement and support of her friends, she shattered Roswaal's expectations by overcoming her fears, conquering her past, and passing all three of Echidna's Trials. He then begins backing her earnestly after the incident at the Santuary is settled.

Beatrice

Post events of Arc 4, she and Emilia have become good friends after Beatrice became more sociable.

Otto Suwen

After throwing his lot with her after the events of Arc 4, he's become a personal adviser to Emilia. Otto also sympathies with her circumstances as he too had suffered under discrimination in his childhood and views her as a strong person to bear all that. Emilia also trusts him greatly and is shown willing to listen to him and take his advice, both in important matters related to the Royal Selection and in matters related to their camp's troubles. When Otto later showed great frustration at being unable to stop the problems before they began, such as when Al kidnapped Subaru, Emilia comforted him and said that she recognized what all he was doing for the camp and that he was doing his best, which helped calm him down.

Petra Leyte

Emilia and Petra get along rather well, despite Petra initially displaying her envy of her. After joining the camp, Petra came to respect and look up to Emilia for her kindness, similarly Petra, while Emilia put her trust in Petra, especially so when they were crossing into Vollachia. After reuniting with her in Arc 9, she was happy to see her, but she was left baffled by her behavior, unaware that she was being influenced by Subaru's Book of the Dead.

Meili Portroute

Despite initially being enemies, Emilia has shown to be rather fond of Meili. During the events of Arc 6, like Subaru, she offered Meili her hand to teach her almost like a parent figure, and in Arc 9, she was shown to be rather happy to see her again, much to Meili's stubbornness.

Felt Camp

Felt

After the events of Arc 1, Felt was grateful to Emilia for saving her and started calling her big sister after that. Later, during the events of Arc 9, after learning of what happened to Subaru through Grassis, Felt was the one who informed Emilia, which she was thankful for, and though she wanted to go help, she put her trust in Felt.

Reinhard van Astrea

Emilia and Reinhard would first meet in the Loot House in Arc 1, where he would help repel the Bowel Hunter. Reinhard would show her respect and talk to her kindly, regardless of her appearance. Later, the two, alongside Subaru, would fight against Regulus together. In fact, Emilia felt guilty that Reinhard had literally died once just to save her.

Rom

Despite at first directing her magic at Rom in response for the theft of her insignia, Emilia fought alongside and later healed him when his life was threatened. Though they were unable to speak to each other during the events of the Royal Selection Ceremony, when they spoke to each other in Arc 9, they were able to get along just fine, and they showed each other respect.

Crusch Camp

Crusch Karsten

Though she has only spoken to her after Crusch's memory loss, the highborn lady did not think any less of her because of her true nature and treated Emilia with the utmost respect as both a worthy rival and potential friend. Because of this, Emilia regards her as an exemplary and warm-hearted person. It should also be noted that during the Newspaper side story, Crusch mentioned that she thought the Emilia Camp should be the one that people keep their eyes on, believing they will surprise everyone.

Anastasia Camp

Anastasia Hoshin

Following the events of Priestella and the Pleiades Watchtower, the two would decide to become friends, albeit after the Royal Selection concluded. Numerous times through Arc 8, Anastasia was left dumbfounded with Emilia’s demeanor toward her, leaving Anastasia rather conflicted about her relationship with the girl, knowing they were supposed to be rivals before friends. Likewise, Emilia’s confidence in winning the selection to the point that she offered to comfort Anastasia for the loss afterward, stated with complete innocence, left Anastasia even more shocked.

Julius Juukulius

Julius respects Emilia greatly, despite her appearance, and even believes that her ideals, though not profitable, should not be changed, believing that they are what make Emilia beautiful.

Priscilla Camp

Priscilla Barielle

These two have a complicated relationship. Priscilla often calls her a half-devil and seemingly fails to show any care for her. On the other hand, Emilia originally had no real opinions of Priscilla, aside from the fact that she had a mean mouth. However, in Arc 7, Emilia tried to befriend Priscilla anyway, leaving the latter to tell her to do what she wants. At the end of Arc 8, the two had a friendly conversation with each other, and they saw each other as friends. After her death, Emilia was saddened and cried.

Al

The two wouldn’t interact until Priestella, where they managed to contact each other through a pair of Communication Mirrors. Al would show concern for her, though he would also find it admirable that she was taking advantage of her predicament to gain information. Trusting Al to get what information she had to Subaru, he told her to be careful. After their conversation, Emilia would state that something about Al reminded her of Subaru, though she couldn’t place what it was. Emilia also expressed faith in Al's integrity and good intentions when Beatrice expressed her suspicions over his actions, pointing out that it was thanks to Al's acquisition of a mana crystal that Beatrice was able to recover after draining most of her mana.

Following Priscilla's death, Emilia was deeply concerned for Al's mental wellbeing and supported his expedition to the Pleiades Watchtower along with Subaru, despite her apprehension over Subaru leaving. However, after discovering that he had captured both Subaru and Beatrice, Emilia immediately flew into a rage, and once she was able to, she confronted Al at the Prison Tower. She furiously demanded that he release Subaru and Beatrice and informs him that due to her anger, she would not hold back against him. As the two clashed, she showed him no mercy, and although she wondered why he seemed lonely as they fought, she yelled at him to look at her when she was talking to him. Throughout the fight, her anger towards Al continued to rise as he mocked Subaru's appearance and reached out to the restrained Roy for help, even saying that working alongside a Sin Archbishop is just like what Subaru did.

Heinkel Astrea

After he interrupted Reinhard and Wilhelm’s reunion, Emilia was left rather annoyed with the man. However, she does not seem to see him in either a positive or negative light. After Priscilla’s death, however, he attempted to join her camp, claiming to be a deterrent against Reinhard and the Felt Camp. His proposal left her baffled, and she was unable to give him a proper answer, as he was quickly knocked out by Madelyn.

Schult

Emilia is rather fond of Schult. Likewise, Schult is rather comfortable with Emilia, despite her heritage and appearance. He also tends to refer to her as Emily. He trusts her to the point of asking her to bring his master back, and she wants to keep promises she made to him. After Priscilla’s death, when Schult decided to stand strong, Emilia told him that she would always have his back.

Imperial Family

Vincent Vollachia

Vincent treated Emilia no differently than Priscilla did, often referring to her as half-devil and recognizing her naïveté as similar to Subaru’s. That said, he did find her boldness in barging into Vollachia to retrieve Subaru rather amusing and useful for his purposes. Meanwhile, Emilia recognizes his similarity to Priscilla and does not see him in a negative light, though she did threaten to strike him if he continued to treat her friends badly. After retreating from Lupugana, the two would shake hands when Vincent formally requested the aid of the Emilia Camp, knowing full well that this act could lead to a great sway in her standings in Lugunica.

Nine Divine Generals

Cecilus Segmunt

The two would meet while the Blue Lightning was in his infantilized state. When he saved her from Mezoreia, he wanted to show off and capture her heart with his performance against the dragon. However, when Emilia claimed that she already knew who she would fall in love with, he apologized to her and even asked her to be sure to invite him to the wedding. He would request of her to move Madelyn’s body out of the way while he handled the dragon, and as a way to assist him, Emilia gave him many weapons of ice to utilize, to which he was grateful for. Emilia seems to find him odd, but she does not think of him badly.

Madelyn Eschart

The two clashed twice in Vollachia: once in Guaral and once in Lupugana. During both fights, Madelyn found herself frustrated and annoyed by Emilia’s interference, and Emilia couldn’t abide by her violent assaults. That said, during the second battle, Emilia decided to try and talk to Madelyn and understand her, wishing to make a friendly compromise between the two. However, due to Madelyn’s internal sense of loss and pain, her attempts to talk with her broke down, and they fought. After the Great Disaster, the two were finally able to speak to each other properly, and Madelyn helped Emilia to properly cry over Priscilla’s death.

Vollachians

Tanza

Though their interactions have been minimal thus far, the two seem to be on friendly enough terms. During the reclamation of the Undead Capital, the two would be teamed up and tasked with rescuing Yorna, and they fought in perfect sync. Emilia also sympathizes with Tanza, so she took the role of holding back their opponent so that the young deer girl could speak with her master.

Gustekans

Elsa Granhiert

Due to her contract to kill her, Emilia and Elsa were hostile toward each other. Throughout their fight, Elsa was running circles around her, and if not for the assistance of Reinhard, Emilia may have been killed by her.

Four Great Spirits

Melakuera

Due to being a silver-haired half elf with a prominent resemblance, Melakuera attempted to kill Emilia. He believed that her existence would heavily disrupt the world as the next Witch of Envy, and as the Arbitrator, he felt it was his responsibility to prevent that. First, he tried to kill her through proxies in Elior Forest. When that failed, Melakuera himself took action after making a contract with one of his proxies, leading to a fight between himself and Puck, which resulted in his death.

Witches

Echidna

Echidna claims to have hated Emilia from the moment she first saw her. During her trial, during which Emilia was forced to face her past, Echidna made several derogatory remarks at the half-elf, mocking her for her dependence on Subaru. Echidna also seems to have some knowledge about Emilia's parents, claiming that she is as just as stubborn as her mother. Echidna adds that she personally knows her real mother and it is one of the reasons for her hatred. Despite all this, Emilia mentioned that she doesn't hate Echidna at all.

Minerva

During the witch's tea party after the third trial, Emilia encounters Minerva as a substitute for Echidna. Minerva seems determined to keep her identity secret from Emilia for some reason, only giving her name as a witch and refusing to let Emilia see her face. Like Echidna, Minerva is familiar with Emilia's mother and comments that she seems stronger than her when faced with future adversities.

In the web novel version, Emilia comments that the name Minerva felt strangely nostalgic when her name was mentioned by Sekhmet.

Satella

Due to her appearance being an exact match for the Witch, Emilia was forced to go through many hardships. Discrimination aside, her existence would also warrant attacks on her. One example was Melakuera’s attack on Elior Forest, while another included Sloth’s attempted raid. However, there seems to be a much deeper connection. If Subaru attempts to tell Emilia about Return by Death, Satella would crush the girl’s heart, such as in the failed tenth loop. However, Satella has only shown to do this to Emilia.

Pandora

Pandora seems to be acquainted with Emilia's family and is implied to have been involved with what happened to her parents. Pandora has referred to Emilia as "the witch's daughter." Due to her manipulation leading to the death of her foster mother and the catalyst to Petelguese's madness, she harbors incredible hatred towards Pandora, to the point that she is the only person thus far that she's expressed a desire to kill, although this occurred when she was still a child.

Sphinx

Although she encountered the Witch on the coupled dragon carriage, the two did not interact with each other, though Emilia was surprised by her resemblance to Ryuzu. Later, they would meet in the Imperial Capital. Recognizing each other as the Witches of Envy and Greed, they quickly corrected their misconceptions. Though Sphinx was intrigued by their connections, they would end up in combat when Emilia mentioned finding Priscilla.

Witch Cult

Regulus Corneas

Regulus is partially responsible for ruining Emilia’s life over 100 years ago, accompanying Pandora to Elior Forest and engaging in combat with Fortuna and Petelgeuse. The two would encounter each other again in Priestella, where Regulus would attempt to take her as a replacement for the “79th bride” vacancy. Emilia seemed to recognize his name, but she wasn’t sure where from. That said, Emilia did not have a great impression of him due to the way he treated his wives, and she would ultimately deny him the chance to marry her. Shortly after, she, alongside Subaru and Reinhard, would engage in combat with him. During the fight, she would come to understand that she hated Regulus, and she would yell as such to him. As shown when she communicated with Regulus, Emilia noted on his bizzare mentality and mindset, casually shifting his beliefs and sense of”fairness” and “humanity” to whatever suited him best at the moment and his inability to truly understand what other people are saying to him without distorting them to suite his own distorted perception of the world. Emilia eventually came to somewhat understand his extremelly distorted and self-centered mindset and pitied him for it. Eventually, the three of them managed to defeat him. And while Regulus would remember Emilia, she would still not be able to recall him.

Sirius Romanée-Conti

Emilia first met Sirius after Subaru told her to attack the Sin Archbishop. Shortly after, Emilia would be forced to take to combat with Sirius, who, for the first time in Subaru’s eyes, truly seemed to embody Wrath. She would constantly curse and throw hatred Emilia’s way for her appearance being the same as that of Satella’s, who she despised for stealing Petelgeuse’s attention from her. Later, after Sirius was successfully defeated and imprisoned by Priscilla, she would go with Subaru to protect him from Sirius, who would continue to show her hatred for the girl. Emilia would even strike Wrath when she got too close to Subaru.

Lye Batenkaitos

Emilia would fight Lye in the Pleiades Watchtower, where he would devour her name. Considering that Lye had both Rem’s and Subaru’s memories, it was likely that Lye recognized her before that. He would be forced to retreat after Emilia and Subaru managed to corner him, and later, he would cough up Emilia’s name shortly before his demise.

Others

Sylphy Elmart & Regulus's Wives

Emilia would meet the representative of Regulus’s wives when she was captured in Priestella. Though she and the other wives were forced to hide their emotions behind a mask, they would feel sorry for Emilia having been captured like them. Sylphy would even become distressed when she learned that Emilia did not escape when she could. However, later, Emilia would encourage them to let out their hatred and emotions, and Sylphy would finally tell Emilia her name. Soon after, when Emilia discovered the presence of Regulus’s pseudo-hearts within them, she would freeze them so as not to have them kill themselves, resulting in them all ultimately being saved. Because of this, they all decided to work as maids for Roswaal Manor. In particular, Sylphy now exhibits tremendous loyalty towards Emilia for everything she did for her.

Reid Astrea

Though the two were enemies for the sake of the trial in the watchtower, Reid seemed to be quite fond of Emilia’s appearance. On the other hand, Emilia carried no hostility toward the man and talked to him with respect. In the fight that followed, though Reid easily handled her attacks, when he decided to use his chopsticks to touch her chest, she cracked him over the head with an ice hammer, confused as to why he would leave himself open. He was confused by her behavior, but he didn’t think less of her.

Volcanica

During their first meeting, Volcanica was shown to be hostile to Emilia as he didn't allow her to reach the top of the tower. That said, when it temporarily regained its consciousness, Volcanica mistook Emilia for Satella and treated her with kindness. When Emilia mentioned "Witch of Envy", Volcanica deduced that Emilia has been taken over by "Witch of Envy" and became aggressive. Later, she introduces Julius and others to Volcanica and also implies that Volcanica suffers from "dementia" with Volcanica's physical strength still being great like it once was, but its mental strength only at 10%.
