Family

Anastasia Hoshin

Anastasia met Eridna eleven years ago and Eridna became her consultant because she was intrigued by her. Eridna cares about Anastasia, and she has often been seen hiding in plain sight around Anastasia’s neck. During the events of Arc 5, though Anastasia was beginning to wonder whether she should reveal Eridna’s presence to Subaru, she ultimately decided against it when she was asked not to by the spirit. Furthermore, she would even allow Eridna to possess her body (which she has allowed to happen a few times in the past), as shown during the climax of the Battle for Priestella. However, when Anastasia would refuse to come out of her Od in fear of losing her memories of Julius to Gluttony, Eridna would be left worried that she couldn’t return control, and this would lead to her offering a solution to head to the Pleiades Watchtower.

During the climax of Arc 6, Eridna would finally understand why Anastasia locked herself away. Watching Julius, however, she felt that Anastasia shouldn’t have been fearful of having to restart her relationship with the knight. Though it pained her to do so, Eridna severed her contract with Anastasia to pull her out of her Od and back into her body. Fortunately, Eridna’s relationship with Anastasia is unharmed in spite of this.

Beatrice

Subaru would tell Beatrice of Eridna’s origins and his distrust of her, leading to Beatrice also becoming distrustful of her and keeping an eye on her when Subaru couldn’t. That said, as fellow artificial spirits made by Echidna, they are technically sisters, and they can engage in productive conversations regarding magic or things of potential historic importance, as seen during their conversation regarding both Volcanica and Subaru’s disappearance.

Echidna

Echidna is the one who originally made Eridna, her reasons for doing so unknown. That said, while Eridna doesn’t know her creator or her goals, she feels as though that she accomplished her purpose having simply been born. Naturally, thanks to her mannerisms and name being pretty much an exact match for that of her creator’s, this would leave her in a negative relationship with Subaru. His continuous hostility towards her despite knowing they were different left Eridna wondering what exactly Echidna did to leave Subaru so hostile.

Anastasia Camp

Ricardo Welkin

Echidna has known Ricardo for a very long time. He shortly played with Echidna by squeezing and stretching her to his heart's content until he was satisfied and let go of her. Even though Ricardo doesn't know much about Echidna, their relationship is somewhat decent.

Julius Juukulius

Though it is unknown how she felt about him before his name was devoured, ever since it was, Julius, unaware that Eridna was possessing Anastasia’s body, treated her with the utmost respect and was always trying to stay by her side, fearful of losing his bond with his master. That said, Eridna was becoming uncomfortable with his behavior, even though she knew he meant no harm by it, and she asked Subaru to talk to him to get him to back off a little bit. That said, when he would fight Reid later and be pummeled by him, Eridna would desperately shoot Magic at Reid in order to help him retreat, despite this being for naught in the end.

In the Watchtower, he would learn the truth of her identity when he overheard part of her conversation with Subaru. Though he would come to terms with her and form a friendly relationship with her, it left him depressed that he couldn’t tell the difference between Anastasia and Eridna. Later, watching him fight Reid and resolving himself to face both his spirits and Anastasia again, she would come to respect and admire the knight, leading to her ending her contract with Anastasia to force her soul out of her Od.

Natsuki Subaru

Subaru was one of the few people to realize that Eridna had taken over Anastasia’s body, and when he would later confront her about it and learn of her name, he would immediately become hostile with her, connecting her to the Witch of Greed. Though this came as a shock to her and caused her to take a step back from him, she managed to resolve the misunderstanding by repeating that she was an artificial spirit. Thanks to this, he would at least listen to her words and even end up deciding to travel together to the Pleiades Watchtower, but because her mannerisms and name were the same as her creator’s, he would remain vigilant around her, not trusting her at all.

Over the course of their travels to the tower, Eridna would only be able to talk freely around Subaru in spite of his hostility. In one such case, she even asked him to have Julius back off so she could have some breathing room. That said, when they reached the tower, Subaru would confront her on the fourth floor balcony. Eridna revealed that she and Anastasia had looked into Subaru’s history ever since the Subjugation of the White Whale and the Man-Hunt for Sloth, though they could find nothing and could only assume that he was a lucky kid. However, over the course of Arc 5, this view changed with his continuous achievements and leadership skills, leading to a harsh reassessment of him. It also did not help that he also knew both her creator and a separate Witch from her (though she may not have known that Echidna was a Witch), that Shaula connected him to her master, and that he successfully completed the first of the trials of the Pleiades Watchtower that everyone else was stumped on. She trembled as she asked who he was, displaying her fear as she clenched her clothes, and his not giving an answer did not improve matters.

Following the events of Arc 6, however, their relationship seems to have improved somewhat, but since their interactions have been minimal since the fight, it is unknown how well they act around each other. That said, she, alongside Anastasia and Julius, would be willing to travel across two countries to retrieve him from Vollachia.

Priscilla Camp

Priscilla Barielle

According to Eridna, Priscilla was one of the few people who realized she was possessing Anastasia’s body. Eridna found her perceptiveness to be rather frustrating.

Al

Al was the first person to realize that “Anastasia” was not Anastasia when he heard of her feat in using magic to temporarily harm Lust. Knowing Anastasia couldn’t use magic, he held his sword up to her and asked who she was. Though he didn’t find out her identity, he was calmed down by Ferris and the present situation. Whether his hostility remains is unknown.

Witch Cult

Capella Emerada Lugunica

For a long time, Capella has been hunting down Eridna for unknown reasons, as shown during the events involving Reisel, and when she demanded the “artificial spirit” in Priestella. Without her knowledge, the two would meet when the Sin Archbishop was being ambushed in City Hall, Eridna using magic to strike at her.
