Balleroy Temeglyph/Relationships

Family

Miles

Balleroy thought of Miles as an older brother, just like Flop and Medium. When Miles was killed, Balleroy swore to take revenge on the one who did it.

Serena Dracroy

Having been brought to the Dracroy territory, Serena took care of Balleroy like one of her own. Balleroy even became one of her Flying Dragon Riders, and he often assisted her in various matters. Naturally, she would be saddened upon hearing of his death. Unfortunately, though he was revived in the Great Disaster, she was unable to share one last conversation with him.

Medium O'Connell

The two grew up together like siblings in the Dracroy territory, with Medium referring to him as “Ballebro,” and Balleroy referred to her as “Medi.” She even helped him raise Carillon. Eventually, Medium had fallen in love with Balleroy and wished to be his bride. However, upon hearing of his death, she cried for days. When he was revived in the Great Disaster, though she was severely saddened to see that he was her enemy, she resolved herself to face him and even used herself herself as a practical meat shield against his attacks. When Balleroy was defeated, she was granted one last conversation with him. When he realized that Medium had fallen in love with Abel, he supported her decision and went to save his life, entrusting the unconscious Madelyn to her care. Soon after, she watched as he took to the sky one last time.

Flop O'Connell

Balleroy and Flop, though not related by blood, grew up like brothers in the Dracroy territory, with Flop often calling him “Ballebro.” The two shared a close bond, and Flop even helped Balleroy raise Carillon. Naturally, Flop would be saddened upon hearing of Balleroy’s death. Unfortunately, though he was revived in the Great Disaster, Balleroy was unable to share one last conversation with him.

Carillon

Having been the one to raise Carillon from birth, Balleroy held a special bond with his flying dragon. Together, the two were practically unstoppable, and they eventually gained a name for themselves together as the strongest Flying Dragon Rider and flying dragon. Their bond was so close that they even faced death together in a staged coup. Both revived during the Great Disaster, they retained their trust and continued to fight together, and they even faced death a second time together.

Imperial Family

Vincent Vollachia

Balleroy respected Vincent as his emperor, and he was willing to follow his orders even if they resulted in his death, as seen during the events leading up to the non-aggression pact between Vollachia and Lugunica. When he was revived, however, Balleroy’s first goal was the attempt on the emperor’s life, which instead resulted in the death of Chisha Gold who was impersonating him at the time. Later, he still made it his mission to hunt down Vincent, believing that taking his life would be the fastest way to end the fight. That said, he wouldn’t get a chance to do so, and instead, he ended up saving his, and the rest of the people in the Empire’s, lives, entrusting the care of his sister to the man.

Nine Divine Generals

Madelyn Eschart

Balleroy first met Madelyn when he was testing the limits of how high and far he and Carillon could go. Upon seeing the nude girl, he gave her clothes, and he would eventually begin making regular visits to her. As well as the gift of speech, Balleroy was the one to give her the name Madelyn, and he had become rather fond of her, even wishing to bring her to the outside world and fighting against a Dragon to do so. However, his life was lost before he could bring her out.

During the Great Disaster, he and Madelyn got a chance to reunite. When they weren’t fighting, they were with each other, talking with each other as they once did. However, when it was time for Balleroy to finally part from the world, he would reject Madelyn’s love since he was destined to leave her behind in the land of the living. Having caused her to cry again, Balleroy was naturally hurt, but he still entrusted her to Medium.

Moguro Hagane

Balleroy and Moguro had a rather friendly relationship when they were alive. However, upon witnessing Balleroy’s apparent betrayal, Moguro was left confused and hurt by his actions. During the Great Disaster, when Balleroy was flying the great meteor’s unstable core into the sky, it asked him why he betrayed Vollachia, and when it heard Balleroy’s answer, it forgave him and died in peace.

Priscilla Camp

Priscilla Barielle

In the past, Balleroy was partially responsible for allowing the young princess escape the country, helping stow her away into both the Dracroy territory and Lugunica. They eventually met each other again when he was revived during the Great Disaster. While Priscilla was imprisoned by Sphinx, he was tasked with keeping Priscilla fed and alive. Despite her haughty attitude, he respected her while talking to her about his days as a commoner.

Felt Camp

Reinhard van Astrea

Having been the one responsible for the death of Miles, Balleroy sought revenge against the man.

Anastasia Camp

Julius Juukulius

In life, Julius fought against the Magic Bullet Sharpshooter during the staged coup in Ex 4. Though Balleroy was close to winning against the Spirit Knight, he was ultimately killed alongside Carillon when Julius stabbed him. When he revived in the Great Disaster as a zombie, due to Julius having had his name eaten by the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, Balleroy forgot about the man, and in turn, about what caused his death.

Emilia Camp

Roswaal L. Mathers

The two met in combat during the Great Disaster. While Balleroy had no problem with magicians in general, fighting against Roswaal frustrated him immensely, as each and every attack encompassed a wide area that was meant to hit far more than just Balleroy, not to mention the fact that he was using Medium as a practical meat shield. Ultimately, it would be Roswaal who brought him down.

Others

Mezoreia

During his attempt to fly as high and far as possible with Carillon, he reached the summit where Madelyn and Mezoreia resided. Although initially wary of Balleroy, Mezoreia eventually relaxed around him, believing that he was not dangerous and that he was making Madelyn happy. However, Mezoreia met Balleroy in battle when he showed willingness to bring her out of her cave. Having seemingly come out of the battle in a draw, the two showed each other respect, and Balleroy stopped attempting to bring her out. His feelings on Mezoreia after that are unknown.
