Immediately upon laying eyes on Beatrice, Ryuzu noted how captivating and beautiful she was. At first, Beatrice teased Ryuzu and didn't like her all that much, but after spending some time together, they became good friends. As the Sanctuary was being attacked by the Warlock of Melancholy, Ryuzu quickly decided to sacrifice herself in order to protect the Sanctuary. Beatrice was left absolutely heartbroken when Ryuzu left her–a trauma that she didn't get over for over four centuries.
Ryuzu held the Witch in extremely high regards, as she was the one who saved her and gave her a place she could call home. When the Sanctuary was under attack, Ryuzu decided to assist Echidna, protecting the Sanctuary by sacrificing herself in order for Echidna to activate the Barrier and ward off the Warlock of Melancholy.
Similarly to how Ryuzu viewed Echidna and Beatrice, she looked up to Roswaal and considered her like an older brother, though they did not share such a relationship. Though their time together was short-lived, the two forged a familiar bond, and Roswaal has even been shown to care about her, as he immediately rejected the idea of Ryuzu sacrificing herself for the Sanctuary's sake. Ryuzu often even stood on Roswaal's side, and helped him tease Beatrice.
