Roswaal regarded Carol as a dear friend, and deeply cares about her. Roswaal's affection for Carol was so deep that she gave her own life to save Carol's from Shasuke's blade, even though it was not written in her Gospel.

Wilhelm van Astrea

Though the latter does not admit it, Roswaal and Wilhelm were close friends. Roswaal enjoyed teasing and flirting with Wilhelm, even though Wilhelm never reciprocated back.
