Crusch Camp
Crusch Karsten
Ever since he first laid eyes on her in the garden of the Royal Palace, he had fallen in love with her, though he would at first be confused by the feelings he felt by her. Wishing to feel that again, he would go back to that garden in hopes of seeing her. The two would meet first when he accidentally fell from above the garden directly in front of her. During his greeting, she would draw her knife against him, believing him to be an intruder, though he would promptly put this misunderstanding aside when he took the bandanna off of his head and introduced himself. When Crusch offered herself for punishment, he decided to make it so that she would talk to him. With Fourier’s encouragement, she would come to respect herself more and feel more pride in how she was, leading to her wearing men’s clothing and bearing a sword. At the same time, Fourier would proclaim to become her Lion King.
Their friendship would last for years. Due to her nature, however, she would remain oblivious to his feelings. That said, she found his endless optimism and commitment to be both inspiring and amusing, and she felt the most at ease with him around. The two would also often clash with wooden swords, Fourier making a promise with her that would include her wearing women’s clothing if he won. Eventually, he would win one match, and with this, he would see her in a beautiful dress on her birthday.
During this same event, Crusch would feel conflicted about a decision to go fight the Great Rabbit alongside her father. When Fourier picked up on her dilemma, he would be the one to inspire her to forget her dilemma and choose both options of fighting and being a Duke’s daughter.
Following the events of the Argyle Family, Fourier would collapse, just like the rest of his family. During the time she couldn’t be by his side, Crusch would constantly worry about him, and those worries would only intensify with the first prince’s death. Eventually, she would go to see him, and he would request to the garden where they first met. There, he would tell her of his dream to take her as his queen and Ferris as their knight, and he would be the Lion King of the country. Ultimately, he would breathe his last while trying to tell her of his love for her.
His death would impact her hard, and when the Council of Wise Men and other nobles displayed more concern over the country’s pact with Volcanica rather than the loss of the Royal Family, she would be disgusted. Revealed to be the first of the Royal Candidates, Crusch would take Fourier’s dream to her heart, and she would declare her resolve to bring his dream to life as she made Ferris her knight.
Ferris
Like with Crusch, Fourier has known and been friends with Ferris for a long time. In fact, having mistaken him for a girl, he would be the reason that Felix would take on the name Ferris. Naturally, Fourier wouldn’t learn of Ferris’s true gender until years later when he would attempt to help Fourier back out of the marriage interview with the daughter of a Gustekan archbishop. The reveal would shock him deeply, with Fourier taking some distance from Ferris for the time being. However, this wouldn’t last long as he ended up running back to both Ferris and Crusch when rumors started spreading about his sexuality.
Since he, like the majority of people, knew about his love for Crusch, Ferris would often tease him, sometimes using Crusch to do so. That said, Ferris also found his endless optimism to be inspiring. When Fourier would win his match against Crusch before her birthday, he would cry upon hearing his commitment to their promise, and he would be overjoyed at Fourier’s victory. On the day itself, the two would even share a dance.
Fourier would ultimately use his influence to get Ferris into the Royal Guard, wishing to make him Crusch’s knight. Later on, upon hearing of Ferris’s family situation, Fourier was left angered and disgusted by the Argyle family, and he was glad that Ferris was taken in by Crusch.
Later, when he would fall ill to the same disease that plagued the rest of the Royal Family, Ferris would remain heavily distressed, unable to heal him despite being the best healer in the kingdom. In fact, if not for Fourier himself discouraging it, Ferris was so driven to keep him alive that he was willing to try and master Sacrament of the Immortal King, even if the technique was taboo.
Ultimately, he would die in Crusch’s lap, leaving Ferris heavily saddened. Later, when he heard of his dream through Crusch, he would be dedicated to putting her on the throne to bring life to his dream.

Julius Juukulius
Fourier held Julius in high regards, after the latter promised to protect the life of his friend Ferris Argyle with his very own, and very much gave off an impression that he accepted Ferris as a friend almost equal to Reinhard. Naturally, Julius on the other hand, held insurmauntable respect towards Fourier Lugunica and always strived to do his very best for the Fourth Prince.
Council of Wise Men
Miklotov McMahon
Miklotov was partially responsible for keeping Fourier in line and educated. Naturally, the two would often talk to each other, whether it was about day-to-day topics or subjects in history, such as the Lion King. Miklotov held high hopes for Fourier, believing that he had the potential to be the next Lion King. However, his hopes were ultimately dashed since Fourier’s primary educator passed off Fourier’s intuition as coincidences and didn’t tell the man about them.
