Arakiya/Relationships

Family

Prisca Benedict

Arakiya was Prisca Benedict's most trusted ally and one could say she even was the Princess' best friend at the time. She loved her and swore her life to her, staying by her side and even saving her life more than once; the last time she did it, she paid with her left eye. She still thinks fondly of Priscilla, even to this day.

In Arc 7, she and Prisca would fight twice. In both fights, Arakiya’s goal was to put Prisca on the throne, even if it meant having to defeat her “Sun” in the process. However, Arakiya would be defeated both times. Their relationship is rather strained thanks to the events surrounding the Imperial Coup, but during Arakiya’s clash with Cecilus in Arc 8, Arakiya would feel the effects of Priscilla’s Soul Marriage Technique on her, as evidenced by her flaming eye, suggesting that their bond is not broken. Soon after, she fought beside Priscilla in the final stand against the Great Disaster.

Imperial Family

Vincent Vollachia

Arakiya holds a grudge against Vincent for having tricked her into betraying Prisca and faking her death. Despite being given the title of Second in the Nine Divine Generals, the grudge would remain deep seated. During the events of Arc 7, she would be one of the few people who was aware that Vincent was not on the throne, and she would attempt to take his life in order to properly end the “incomplete” Imperial Selection Ceremony and put Prisca on the throne.

Nine Divine Generals

Cecilus Segmunt

As the 1st and 2nd Divine Generals, Cecilus and Arakiya are forced to work together quite often. One would think the two share a respectful and friendly relationship, however, this couldn't be further from the truth. According to Vincent, Arakiya is constantly after Cecilus' neck, as she's trying to become the 1st ranking Divine General. Their fights and skirmishes are so frequent, that Vincent ordered Cecilus to move next to Arakiya, so they could minimalize unwanted damage to other civilians and structures.

Roughly 7 years before the start of the main story, the two first met; Cecilus, around 13 years of age and Vincent's right-hand man, and Arakiya, a couple years younger and Prisca's right-hand man. Immediately upon meeting her, the blue-haired youth noted her adorable stooped ears and started referring to her as "Lil' Doggie", though he also commented on Arakiya's rather revealing attire. Naturally, this greatly angered Arakiya, and caused her to try and kill him. Cecilus naturally countered her with ease and almost lobbed her head off.

During Arc 8, when she was unable to properly control her body after wholly devouring Muspel, she would request Cecilus to kill her. However, believing the request was for the version of himself that he did not know, not to mention the look in her eyes that showed regrets, he would refuse to kill her and would promptly strike her down, alive.

Yorna Mishigure

Arakiya and Yorna have once come to blows in the past in the Demon City of Chaosflame during one of Yorna’s rebellions. Though she would burn down half of the city, Arakiya would fail to produce any casualties, including Yorna herself. When the fighting was pacified, Arakiya would leave, leaving Yorna with a powerful impression of the girl.

The two would clash again in Arc 7, where Yorna would learn of Arakiya’s sister-like connection to Prisca. Though Arakiya didn’t pay much attention to her, Yorna made the decision to end this charade and properly deal with both of her “daughters.”

Imperial Army

Todd Fang

After busting her out of Guaral’s prison after her defeat, Todd would give Arakiya a sob story that would win her over to trusting him. When the two would return to the Imperial Capital, Arakiya would take him on as a direct subordinate, claiming that she would help him get his “revenge” for Jamal’s supposed death. Todd, however, was using her for his own benefit, and he would even consider killing the Spirit Eater if he deemed it necessary. That said, for as long as he could use her, he would teach her better ways to use her power, such as using pressurized water instead of fire when necessary.

Priscilla Camp

Al

Al and Arakiya crossed paths roughly 7 years before the start of the main story, during the gladiator upbringing that took place on the gladiator island Al was situated at. Upon first meeting Al, Arakiya expressed her interest in his face, stating it "wasn't bad". The two were forced to form a short alliance in order to fight another gladiator by the name of Hornet, who was guarding the drawbridge which connected the island with the mainland and was preventing the Imperial Army from entering the island and subduing the uprising. After their fight, Al expressed his immense happiness for finally being able to save a beautiful silver haired girl, as he once already had the chance to do so but failed.

However, when the two would reunite in Arc 7, Al would be saddened that he would have to come to blows with Arakiya. Later, he would also assist Cecilus in defeating her in Arc 8, apparently dying far more than 12,000 times in the process. Fortunately, their relationship seems to no longer be hostile, as he would then protect her when she was unconscious, and when she woke up, she did not detest his presence. Although, she does not seem to recognize him, as he now wears a helmet over his face.

Four Great Spirits

Muspel

Due to the necessities of the Imperial Selection Ceremony requiring it for her master to succeed, Arakiya devoured a small portion of the Stone in order to obtain its power. Though the power should have caused her to burst, she managed to successfully contain it, giving her the power to be one of the strongest people in the Empire's history. During the Great Disaster, when Sphinx gave her the option of devouring the Stone, Arakiya took it in fully, dramatically increasing the strain on her body and causing her to lose control of herself when its survival instincts kicked in. However, with help from Cecilus and Al, she managed to rein it in and gain full control of its power.

Witches

Sphinx

Close to the beginning of the Great Disaster, Sphinx offered Arakiya a chance to “stop” it by devouring the rest of the Stone, though whether she realized that this was an attempt on her life is unknown. According to Sphinx, her likely goal was to teach the fear of death to the Great Spirit in order to end the disaster and stop Sphinx’s plans, but after fully assimilating with the Stone with the help of Priscilla and Cecilus, she successfully managed to skew Sphinx’s agenda, even if unintentionally, causing Sphinx to come after her life personally.

Others

Spica

Oddly, Spica seems to have been afraid of Arakiya. Despite nobody else realizing she was there, when Spica noticed the Spirit Eater’s presence, she was left terrified and reeling back. The cause of this fear is presently unknown. Despite that, when Arakiya was tasked with protecting Spica, that fear was apparently gone, and Spica was willing to reach out to her and even stop her violent actions by putting her own life on the line. Afterward, though Spica acted friendly toward her, Arakiya rejected her, telling her not to touch her and attempting to ignore the girl. That said, Spica was still in charge of keeping Arakiya in check with her teleportation, making a headway to mend this relationship difficult to find.

As they traveled together, however, the two seemed to be able to have no problem with each other's presence, with Arakiya giving a form of apology to her and allowing Spica to lean her head on her shoulder, despite her complaint.
